One thing is certain—we all suffer these days from too many content creation platforms offering us a bit of the same.

I always try to check & spot for you the solution providers that bring a differentiating & edgy offer, so as I wasn't sure whether it's a popping AI app or just aiming to be popular - I decided to check PopAi

PopAi provides three main pillars of features, divided into a variety of sub-features such as image generation, image-to-prompt, chart-to-code, and even image-based homework help.

It also offers assistance in creating PowerPoint slides by generating customizable outlines with smart layouts and automatic illustrations.

Let's break down PopAI's three main features:

1. Document Interaction: PopAi aims to enhance document interaction by allowing users to navigate through intricate documents seamlessly and magnify details for better readability (you may also want to check AskMyPDF).

2. Image Generation and Reverse Engineering: PopAi offers the capability to generate DallE3-based images on demand. It also provides access to image prompts and generation codes, by just loading the image. The idea is to Jolt PopAi with a prompt containing one of your recent ideas and start working with it on the concept, features, and flowcharts.

I tried it and though the mindmap wasn't "mindblowing", it actually raised some relevant topics.

The best part is that it links each topic to reference websites, which will help any user improve the implementation phase.

Ease of use

PopAi UI is pretty intuitive to use - as long as the tasks are simple & your prompts are to the point - but even then you can't expect any bright or consistent results.

Though it enables the selection of the source LLM model and engine, the simple chatGPT-style interface is far less efficient than the app's other features.

Needless to say, I didn't take any of the offered headlines or PopAi offer to "delve" into this article...

Though easy & intuitive to use, it feels like a lot of the app's screen area is just getting lost as it is poorly used.

Something about the layout is just too simplistic.

Conclusion

PopAi presents an intriguing concept for an AI-powered workspace, aiming to improve the way we interact with documents & images.

Its aspired result is to simplify tasks that will gradually become part of our routine business flows.

Some of its very specific features are actually giving some nice value.

However, In my personal experience, the UX has a long way to go, to provide that expected great result.

Simple & plain, yet functional designs are very hard to achieve (not everyone can afford designers like those working at X), but on the other hand - leaving a lot of empty & unused screen area, while failing to deliver basic chat capabilities, is even worse.
