(April 2024 edit: When this article was written Google Gemini was still called Bard)

Often I get to see portfolios that contain redundant equities, either by:

- Overlaping between two ETFs that hold the same ticker(s).

- Holding the stock itself, and also an ETF that holds that same ticker.

When investment advisors ask me how can they also benefit from the AI tsunami, then apart from learning all the relevant finance tools out there - the best and simplest thing one can do for his client is help him diversify his assets wisely.

If up until a year ago, an advisor had to go to the ETF holding page and scan for the ticker in order to see if it holds a certain ticker or not (and in which % of allocation), then today all he has to do is:

ree
Bard displays stocks held by ETFs table

1. Open Bard.

2. Prompt it "Please generate a table with the following Columns: Ticker name | ETFs holding it | % of allocation

Populate the table with the following tickers XXX, YYY, ZZZ

The data should be updated for the last day of trade"

It's important to specify you want the data to be updated for a specific date or time range.

I know that it does not matter whether one uses the word "please" or not, but I believe that If we all stop using it when talking to our AI bots, we will also might stop using it when talking to each other.

Does AI need to hear "please"?

Sometimes the simplest tools & methods are the ones to give you the best & fastest results
